Job Description
It is a non-profit boot camp that is located in Chicago and is specifically designed for veterans and military spouses who are transitioning into the civilian workforce. Code Platoon provides them technical training and career placement as well. They offer 14 week full time and 35 week part time immersive courses. Both kinds of courses are available in person or remotely via video conference. Students are taught technical skills that leverage the core competencies of teamwork, problem-solving and discipline.
The curriculum immerses students in learning full stack web development including Django, Python, JavaScript, CSS and HTML. The JavaScript and Python course includes computer science/programming fundamentals, data science, Amazon web services, the World Wide Web and creating applications. Students don’t need prior programming experience and are eligible for paid internships post graduation.
They also offer general scholarships for eligible students. The majority of students have 80% or more of their tuition covered through VA benefits and/or scholarships.

Full Stack Web Developer Immersive
(HTML, Git, JavaScript, Sinatra, jQuery, Rails, CSS, Ruby, SQL)
Cost – $2,500
The class teaches the necessary components to become a full stack developer. Over a training of 20 weeks, students will be taught Ruby Rails, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. They also learn best industry practices including test driven development, version control with Git, pair programming and Agile processes.
