Job Description
Bloc is an online bootcamp that helps students with 1-on-1 mentorship to prepare them for a career as a professional software engineer or UI/UX designer. The courses are tailored to suit each student’s learning needs and they can choose whether to learn Ruby on Rails or server-side JavaScript with Node. The curriculum is vetted by the advisory board that comprises hiring managers. Students get to work with mentors to clarify concepts, pair programs and build a portfolio of sites to demonstrate job readiness. Students can enroll full time, or do course part time as well to suit their different routines. Bloc also offers 80 hours per week real time access to an experienced developer to help answer any questions they might have.
You don’t need any prior experience to enroll in Bloc but you should have a strong desire to take on challenges and learn. The camp looks for students who are driven, ready to learn and hard working.
Their flagship Track programs include job preparation material and career prep workshops as well. Mentors help students put together a portfolio and prepare them for tough technical interviews. Once you graduate, students get to work with the Career support team to navigate the job search process.

How to Apply?
Bloc believes that anyone who strives to learn designing or programming should be able to do so easily, which is why it has a 100% acceptance rate for almost all the courses. The interested students can speak to a Student Advisor, & enroll at least 10 days prior to their start date. Also, students get the option to withdraw in their first week or at any time for a pro-rated or full refund. In case you’re eager to sign-up immediately, you can do that for online Bloc courses.

Design Track

This is an online, self-paced training program that enables students to go from beginners to job-ready designers. The course offers a holistic learning regimen of skilled mentors, gated assessments, industry-vetted curriculum and a community of fellow designers for continuous support. Students get to study the design process in-depth, including visual design, UX research and frontend development. You get to build real-life projects to build a good portfolio. These skills help make you the most desired candidate on the market. You get to work with the world-class Career service team once you complete the course.
Web Developer Track
(HTML, Git, JavaScript, jQuery, Rails, CSS, Express.js, React.js, Data Structures, Node.js, Front End, Ruby, SQL)
Cost – $8,500
It is an online, self-paced training program that transforms you into a job ready developer within a few weeks. It offers a holistic learning regimen of industry vetted curriculum, skilled mentors, gated assessments, along with a community of fellow developers. You get to work on real life projects and get feedback by professional developers on the spot so you can learn and improve. The program starts with HTML/CSS and React.js and then the focus shifts to computer science fundamentals where students learn about algorithms and data structures.
